Alex Huppertz

About Alex

Attorney Alex Huppertz is from Delafield, Wisconsin. He graduated from Michigan State University with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice before graduating from Marquette University Law School for two years, where he gained hands-on experience in the areas of family, criminal, and juvenile law and gained a unique perspective from the judicial side of the bench.

Alex practices primarily in Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Ozaukee Counties, and clients look to him for his expertise in handling a wide variety of family law and criminal law issues. He has more than four years of experience in boutique law firms, preferring a more hands-on and personalized approach to practicing law.

Alex’s charisma and presence command both respect and attention in and out of the courtroom. He speaks candidly to his clients to guide them through what are often the most difficult times in their lives. In his free time, Alex enjoys cheering for Wisconsin sports teams and working on his golf game. Alex makes the most of our fleeting midwestern summers and enjoys off time with family and friends.

Matt has also represented over 100 clients in criminal appeals. He has argued five (5) times before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Two of the cases resulted in ground breaking decisions that set the standard for effective assistance of criminal defense lawyers and created a constitutional exception in The Rape Shield Law. Few, if any, criminal defense lawyers have the trial experience and appellate experience that Matt has used in his defense of all of his clients.

Matt also has been a featured speaker at national DNA evidence seminars; Wisconsin Drug Enforcement seminars; continuing education classes for police officers in Wisconsin; Banking Fraud Investigation seminars; and an adjunct professor at WCTC in criminal law.

Matt graduated from Marquette University High School, Marquette University (a proud Warrior) and Marquette Law School. He is a member of the Waukesha County Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association. He lives in Delafield, Wisconsin with his wife and their four (4) children.
